I love GoDaddy.com. Their domain services are excellent and all my domain names are registered under them.

Today I felt adventourous and tried out their cheapest hosting. It may be cheap but it has all the basic features I need or a dynamic website namely PHP and MySQL. Let's see if this is one of the cas

30 seconds before your content loads up on the browser. That's crazy!!

Anyway with this technique of moving all the heavy loading widgets down to the footer, I manage to trim down the time to just a few seconds. Now I understand why many blogs and websites have their heavy  widgets at the bottom of the page. Blog

Have you received your Google Adsense PIN number yet ? A friend of mine just received an email from Google stating that a special PIN number has been sent via snail mail to her address. If your amount in your Google Adsense account reaches USD 10 and above you should get one of this emails.

Being used to other content management systems like Joomla, Xoops and PostNuke, I really miss teh autoposting or schedule post feature in WordPress. Autopost is great when you want to pre-write several posts and schedule them to be publish at future dates so that you can go on vacation and still have your blog updated.

Watched this movie last weekend. Clovefield is the latest JJ Abrams super hyped up movie which follows the same vein as in Snakes on a Plane in 2006 with the full force of internet viral marketing behind it.  Well it was too bad the the hype didn't match the delivery in the case of Snake on a plane.

I rarely use WordPress admin dashboard to post my articles. Most of the time I use Scribefire, which is a FireFox plugin. I like it because it is nice and simple with WYSIWYG mode as well as HTML view where I can have full control over the formatting of the blog post.

Easy Picture Uploads

The thing I like most is the image upload where

Santa sure came early this year. I received a mysterious cheque for quite a tidy sum of money for doing absolutely doing nothing. At first I was suspicious as to whether the cheque was even real as it was too good to be true.

A closer examination showed that the cheque was indeed genuine. Now the big dilemma is whether I want to go ahead a

I want to make money and survive purely from blogging. Problogger wannabe! Geeky as that may sound, there is another profession as a professional chess player. Can you imagine that? Making money and to survive just from chess.

I wanted to interview this Woman Grandmaster from China known Zhang Jilin to find out what it was like. However I

Google has not stopped and zerofying blogs that write for PayPerPost. There is now clear evidence that they can sniff out other paid posts that does NOT have disclosure. So those who think that they can fly under the Google radar by taking less "visible" sponsored posts, THINK AGAIN.rnrnYesterday I read from 5xmom article that there is

This is a video I created to encourage my chess community of readers to take up blogging. Chess is such a niche that if only a few of my readers take the tast it would mean a big percentage of increase in the chess blogosphere.

I start right from the beginning - registering an email from Gmail, register a free blog at blogger.com, choosing

After all the Google name calling and criticism about Google PR slapping PPP blogs there’s no denying the sad fact that it’s hard to live with a PR 0 blog. There’s also little chance that Google will give back the PRs to paid post bloggers. I’m so disheartened that I can’t even bare to look at my PR 0 blog on my browser.

This is can’t go o

I know I don’t have to blog about this as many people already know the cycle where we lose all our promising chess talents. Or at least ALL who will not see their chess talents reach even half of their full potential.

Still, I just want to share my own perception of this. With more junior chess activities we are finding more hidden talents

Sorry for the lame title but I was just surprised by traffic that I got from Stumble Upon. I know I’ve heard stories of people getting a spike in traffic after being “stumbled upon”. It’s such a foreign term for me because I’ve never received any benefits from Stumble Upon until now. I decided to describe my FREE chess publishing tool for blo

It’s a hit and miss if you talk about Google Adsense’s accuracy when trying to match ads with your blog’s content.

It also depends on your niche I guess. In my chess blog, Google delivered almost 90% of ads related to chess which was good. The rest was on Malaysia related ads because I only blog about Malaysian Chess Events.

However on

One of my PR4 has been demoted to PR2. Looks like Google is back to slapping PR demotions again.

My PR4 site was doing paid posts as well as Text Link Ads so that’s not surprising. I have been doing that for months. I fully accept and expected th
