Recently, Google's free Blogger service angered much of the blogosphere for disallowing links to commenter's who did not have sites hosted at Blogger. Apparently this was not Blogger's intention. Rather Blogger was in the process of implementing a service called OpenID. The effect of this service at Blogger will be to reduce comment spam.
