Why do so many people want to look at Barack Obama's birth certificate? I really don't understand what they hope to accomplish. John McCain isn't exactly squeaky clean in the birth certificate department, many people question his eligibility to become President as well.

Please let the candidates focus on important issue

Apparently no one is handing over Barrack Obama's birth certificate : which raises 2 questions really: why does freedom of information extend to birth certificates in the US ? In the Uk or Australia you can apply for a get a copy of any birth certificate - it won't be free or quick - you probably cant do it over the internet
