This post looks at unhelpful thinking (or twisted) styles that we can all be prone to. It focuses on five - shoulds, musts, all or nothing, over generalization and jumping to conclusions. For instance our habit of using the words should, ought and must can create feelings of guilt and frustration ( or anger and frustration if we apply it to others). Telling ourselves we must get 100% in a test, doesn't leave much room for maneuver if we don't. The post looks at other ways of thinking and challenging this way of thinking.
