But there's one man who won't be celebrating, and that's the man who created the character in the first instance, way back in 1846.
Of course, he won't be celebrating because he's long dead, but as well as that trifling matter, the poor man never really realised what a great story he had written, and went on to make next to nothing from his grim creation...
