‘Notes on a scandal’ adapted from a Booker-prize nominated text, reminded me of the movie adaptation of ‘Enduring love’ (the acclaimed novel by Ian Mc Ewan, which was also centered on an obsession). But the former attains a much greater degree of success in its aspirations to literary intensity and intricacy. Primarily due to deliciously wicked performances by the two leads.
