John McCain has recently been the subject of a number of criticisms by conservative radio talk show hosts. The worst of the criticism has characterized him as a "moderate liberal Republican"--in a party that defines itself as conservative. And yet McCain's positions on most issues fall well within the realm of conservatism in days gone by--as to the views of Ron Paul, who has been similarly criticized by the talking heads. This is a review and commentary on an article written by the Times of London.
