Plastic pollution is having much more of a dramatic negative impact on life in the oceans than you might've imagined. Plastic waste that makes it's way out to sea gets swept into major ocean currents and one such current, the massive North Pacific Subtropical Gyre is a swirling vortex comprised mostly of plastic debris that's twice the size of Texas.
