The number of children diagnosed with Autism has increased significantly over recent years. Whether this is due to the fact that there is more awareness of the disorder leading to more diagnosis or whether it is due to other environmental factors that is actually increasing the number of children having the disorder, whatever the reason it is difficult for any parent to raise a child with a disorder.

The first thing a parent needs to do is to find out for sure if their child does have Autism or another disorder and as there is no blood test for Autism, Aspergers or ADHD, it can sometimes be quite difficult to diagnose. So just how do you know if your child is autistic?
