The Obama campaign has worked hard to draw comparisons between their candidate and JFK, sometimes subtly and sometimes with a sledgehammer. Here's an example of one of the more subtle echoes of JFK, through a visual. In ads currently airing, one of the most iconic images of Kennedy is echoed. The black and white still is used at the conclusion of the spot, lending an air of solemnity to the ad. It's a striking image of a thoughtful pose. It's also another case of the campaign trading on nostalgia for an overrated President.
