Let's start by summarizing what PayPal is: It does the same as a normal bank transfer, it delivers money from a to b. The point about the PayPal service is that you don't need to remember long, cryptic numbers, you just enter a normal e-mail address and the money will automatically be transfered from your account to the bank account of the address owner, just like an e-mail!
