Some bloggers still live under the false impression that publishing an RSS feed is unwise. They think you lose visitors, and thus ad revenue, if you publish a full feed. I hope you are not one of them, because they are wrong: publishing a full feed is one of the most effective marketing tools a blogger has.
There are many RSS feed directories that you can submit to, if you publish a feed. Many of them will show excerpts of your posts and give you backlinks from them. Having your feed listed may also get someone else to syndicate it on their website, which means even more backlinks for you.

To me, RSS subscribers is thMye most important number of all, far more so that "unique visitors."
When I started my blog a year ago, I allowed myself one full year to get it going. I didn't realize how accurate that estimate would be.
My blog has NOT been the overnight miracle that others can boast. It has instead grown slowly but steadily. The stats have improved every month, with small spikes attributable to some promotional event, such as endorsement by another blogger or internet forum, or a couple of Digg submissions that received a little bit of attention. I'm finally up to about 5000 unique visitors a month, and just this week have passed the 100-mark in RSS subscribers.
I'm ecastic enought to conclude that all the effort is worth it.

I couldn't agree more on the directories and search engines angle of an RSS feed. Well done..
