Basically blogging is writing. Writing personal journals, tutorials, ideas, jokes or advice, etc. Most blogs are written to be read... by their readers. Yes, what I'm trying to say here is, you merely write for your readers. So, you should know what is appropriate or useful to your readers. The kind of language used and you should also know the levels of tolerance.

Recently John Cow used the word "CUNT" in its post title and it caused a furor among some of his readers. To appease them, John quickly removed the "offensive" word. I commented in his post that he did not mean to offend his readers; It is his readers who have been offended. John Cow doesn't know his readers well enough. He thought all his readers are the so-called easy and crazy lots, just because he used to entertain them with some of his amusing posts before.

Before that John Cow wrote a post entitled "Our Blog Is Not Your Bitch". Here he audiously said that: "It’s all up to the blog owner believe it or not. Don’t like it? That means this blog is not for you and you should find one that does provide you with what you’re looking for. Better yet, why not start your own blog? Seriously, why waste time in the comments saying how crap a post was and that you’re expecting information about something else? You don’t call the writers of your favorite TV-show when in the last episode something happened you didn’t expect, do you? Do you tell them they should do things differently or you won’t watch the show anymore? No, you don’t." Yes, your readers did told you and you COWardly bow to their comments! Why did you have to curl your tail between your legs and mooed some inane excuses. Accept the fact that your readers are the ones who decide what you can or cannot write. As long as you NEED them, simply because they are your traffic. They are the ones who help you to generate your blog income. They are the ones who can make or break your blog.

I know the C-word is used with wild abandon in many humor and celebrity blogs and does not even flinch an eye lash among their readers. But it is usually or hardly used in any other kind of blogs. Most of us are strait-laced, straight, God-fearing and law-abiding bloggers. Not some kind of animals like cows, bitches......
