For many of us, pets are like family members, and it's only natural to include them in the holiday festivities. But to avoid an emergency trip to the veterinarian, keep in mind that the food and decorations that light up our holiday spirits can be dangerous for your pet.

Foods from the holiday buffet are meant for you, not for your pet. Anything rich or fatty can cause an upset stomach or a more serious illness such as pancreatitis which can cause severe pain, vomiting and dehydration.
