Tom Cruise reportedly had a Scientologist friend help him scout for a future wife. According to Marc Headley, an ex-Scientologist - who used to produce promotional films for the religion - said Cruise separated from his then girlfriend, Penelope Cruz, and was desperate to find a wife, so the church sent out a casting call that read:

"There's an upcoming Tom Cruise movie you might get a part in. Come for an audition."

Apparently there were restrictions: You had to be single, pretty and in your twenties. Are you already creeped out? I am.
