You now know that using images on your blog is a good thing. You’ve probably heard about it before or even tried out using images from Google, but this isn’t a very good method to practice - images you find via Google and other search engines are most likely copyrighted, which means that they belong to someone else and you don’t have the right to use them. You CAN use images on free stock photo sites, but a lot of those don’t have a very good selection. So where do most bloggers get their images from?
Flickr is your perfect solution. Flickr is a site where anyone can sign up and upload their photos, so there are millions of great images that you can use. Flickr is easy to navigate and finding a stunning photo to add to your blog post could take only a matter of minutes - read on to learn how to do just that!

Hey, everything on Flickr is copyrighted too!!! ALL photos taken by anyone and posted ANYWHERE on the net, or magazines, books, TV, docs, etc is copyrighted by the person taking the photo, or if a work for hire (photographer hired to take the photo), then the person paying for it, owns it.
You should study the law before you tell people to break it! The act of creating a photo copyrights it. The creator should register it if they ever need to sue, because if the creator wins, the loser pays legal costs. But you don't have to register it to sue someone and you don't have have register it for it to be copyrighted!
You better write a retraction!!!
I've been dealing with copyright theft for years, as have my fellow professional rock and roll photographers.
You just made our lives more miserable.
You know how to get great images? You make them yourself, you ask before you STEAL them, you pay for them but you never ever take them from sites that have copyright info anywhere on the site (or mags, books, docs, TV, etc).
The photographer puts time, money, energy, thought and themselves into every photo they take. It's not free and it belongs to the creative person or the person paying for you.
Where's that retraction?? How would you like it if i came over and took your car, your bike, your TV just cos I could?
Art and Photos are called Intellectual PROPERTY.

I just read the original post and it clearly defines how to use or not use a photo from Flickr.
But you should have made it clear from the beginning there are limitations and legal requirements. Many of us don't click and read the whole story.
Next time summarize the finer points of any posting to let people know the LEGAL ramifications of a sensational headline about getting anything for free.

JennyLens, I would recommend you read the entire post before you tell me I'm stealing, breaking the law, or whatever else nonsense you have written. I have also dealt with copyright and people stealing the content I write, and it's not fun. That's what I CLEARLY WROTE all of the laws that are DISPLAYED ON FLICKR ITSELF. Most people think they can use photos on Flickr without linking back, but they can't. I wanted to make sure people know that.
I also never told anyone they could have the images for free without credit, that is absolutely ridiculous. It is not my fault if someone thinks otherwise because they read the headline and not the article. As for you, I would recommend before insulting anyone you actually read the whole article, because I'm on the same side you are and all you have done is humiliate yourself.
