Holmes Beach Hotel Exclusive | Anna Maria Island Post

Could Anna Maria Island get a hotel lodge in Holmes Beach? It looks like Tidemark Lodge and Marina, the project that's been on and off for 7 years, has applied for a building permit to start construction of some hotel-condo units. The site was cleared of structures in 2001 and has had little sign of development. It will be interesting to see if this is really the beginning of a fine fishing, hunting-style lodge like the historic Gasparilla Inn & Club on Boca Grande, and could it be a clue that the real estate downturn has bottomed?
