Gerard Butler, star of “300” was tabbed to play Snake (the role made famous by Kurt Russell) in New Line’s remake of “Escape From New York.” He has decided now, however, that his “creative differences” with the production are just too much. He has dropped out of the role. What does this mean for the project? What director has been rumored to be involved in the project? What director is now being considered to shoot the film?
