Do you post comments on other blogs in the hopes of getting a back-link from it? You waited for the back-link to appear and it never did! The cause of this is the nofollow attribute that most blog platforms add to all author and comment links. This was originally to counteract spam - as if that worked!

The good news is that there are plugins that can remove the nofollow from the comments. Not only that, but you can also channel the page rank within your site to pages that you want to get the page rank.
