Female Lawyers - A Pre-historic View

Back in the old days men didn't view women as much more than homemakers and when a woman sought to work outside the home it was often met with great resistance.

THE New York Times in 1855 published an article by an old goat who felt that women would make terrible lawyers what with their tendency to get personal and juries would decide based on the beauty of the advocate.

Women are leaving law firms in droves is it because the old goat type is still in charge?
