How does a story get published, or promoted to the front page?

When a story is zoomed, or voted for by enough users, it will be published and promoted to the front page of Blogging Zoom. The amount of zooms required to move a story or piece of content to the front page is determined by the total number of users that have voted positively and negatively for that content.

Can I report a bug, problem, or that someone is abusing the service?

Yes, any user can report a bug, problem, or that someone is abusing the service using the contact form. If your problem or complaint involves another user, please let us know who!

How do I find content that a specific user submitted?

Each user of Blogging Zoom has a profile which will show you the content that the user submits and votes for. To view a person’s profile from the BZ home page, you can click on their name and then click ‘view profile’. If the user is a BZ friend, you may find their profile under ‘view my friends’ in your profile. Once you have found the profile for the user whose content you’re looking for, you will go to ‘Submitted’ to find the content they added to BZ.

Does Blogging Zoom delete submitted content?

Only when the content is against the rules of BZ. Our users decide whether content provides value to Blogging Zoom, so it isn’t necessary to delete content unless it violates the rules that keep the service fair for each user.

May I have more than one Blogging Zoom account?

Absolutely not. Allowing users to have multiple accounts would give some users an unfair advantage and is against the rules of BZ.

Why did you delete my Blogging Zoom account?

Blogging Zoom rules exist to protect the integrity of the system and to keep BZ fair for each user. If you abuse the BZ system by spamming, using multiple accounts, or by any other method, we will be forced to remove your account.

Is it a duplicate story if it comes from another source?

No. The BZ users will ultimately decide whether the content provides additional value or not. Sometimes the first piece submitted will not provide as much value as the second, third, or fourth piece submitted on the topic. Generally speaking, however, content that is 100% original will do better on BZ.

Can I submit content written in Spanish, French, Chinese, or any other language?

No, at this time Blogging Zoom is intended to be used only for content written in English.

Can I submit content that is pornographic in nature?

Absolutely not. Blogging Zoom does not allow pornographic content of any kind, and submitting it will result in your account being deleted and banned.

How do I add friends in Blogging Zoom?

Wherever you see a user’s name in Blogging Zoom, you will be able to click on it. This will expose a link that you can follow to the user’s profile. In every user’s profile, you will be able to find a link that says, “Add ‘user’ to friends.” That user will then have the option to add or not add you as a friend.

How do I know when my friends have submitted or zoomed content?

You can visit your friends profiles, which will all be listed on your profile page. Each profile will have sections that show content that your friends have submitted, published, commented on, zoomed, and saved.
