No More Copy Paste!!! We have made over 5 post since the birth of Blogging Zoom letting Bloggers know that they are not allowed to copy paste submissions. Your description has to be original. Now we had given an opportunity for new bloggers to get accustomed to the system and we hoped once they read all the post about submitting with copy paste, it would stopped. Unfortunately this has not happened.

Two main reasons why we do not allow copy paste. First reason is for the benefit of both Blogging Zoom and you as the blogger. Every time you copy and paste your content in a submission let it be here at Blogging Zoom or any other social voting site you are giving yourself and Blogging Zoom a duplicate content filter penalty with Google.

Second reason was not an issue but we knew it would become and the day has arrived. We wanted to provide the bloggers and HTML editor in the submission form so they can make their submissions more attractive. Now we had to turn the editor off because people still not either because of serious laziness or simple ignorance are still making copy paste submissions and in the process pasting HTML mark ups that are not compatible with our theme, in return it breaks our side bar.

For the next few days until the full upgrade is done the editor will be off and we will be monitoring all submissions. One warning will be given, if the following submission after the warning is a copy paste submission we will be forced to BAN the URL from Blogging Zoom.

This rules including the 350 character minimum are for the benefit of both the blogger and Blogging Zoom. Because of this rules we are growing at a rapid pace. All the bloggers that are following this rules are getting 10 times more traffic then those that are lazy and do a copy paste.

We ask you to please follow this rules. Not only are you hurting yourself with the copy paste but also fellow bloggers that do follow the rules but are also penalized with a site wide duplicate content penalty.

Blogging Zoom is heading toward one day being a much stronger site then Digg and any other social voting sites. If you need proof of this look at our Alexa vs Digg we are month ahead in traffic for the same time of Digg. If you want to be a Power Zoomer and grow with Blogging Zoom please help the community.

That dude told me to STFU :(

Of course, I did tell him to stop whining…but honestly, how stupid do you have to be?

Mike I just banned hist site. People do not want to follow rules and be rude with other bloggers we do not need them.

    Hi Vic,

I’ll be honest, looking at several different analytics programs (google, wpstats, mybloglog) I rarely see bloggingzoom as a referrer. And with all the links back to author’s original posts being “nofollowed” I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around how submitting here is helping my (google) search results …

I’m probably just being dense (not an unheard of event … ask my wife).

But perhaps you or Court could post some of sort of an explanation of exactly how our unique submissions to BZ benefit us? (other than the obvious benefit of networking with other like minded bloggers)

    Thanks in advance,
    Todd

Todd it has to do also with the content relevant to search so for example. So for example http://www.google.com/search?q.....&aq=t

that search string in the past 2 days has had over 500 unique hits. But yet some have had none. It is all related to what you are writing about and how many searches it has a day. What is the use of having position one on a keyword that has no searches.

Now lets say your submissions are not keyword focused on a search term but yet you also make a copy and paste submission now you have added it also a duplicate content filter to both BZ and yourself now this does not only apply to us but to every other site you go and make a copy paste submission. SO the more times you do this the less chance the submission here or anywhere or your original post has of having any traffic it will end up looking like spam.

Now lets look at one of your submissions : http://bloggingzoom.com/Genera....._Paradise/

Ok if you look at your writing there is no actual keyword that you focused on so in reality it would be really tough to get this ranked for any meaningful term. Example you write on the tittle Fort Weaver Road Rage but inside the post you write Fort Weaver Road now how can you rank for any term if you do not have one focused. Now the only keyword you repeat twice once in title and once inside the post is “Fort Weaver” now when you search “Fort Weaver” you rank 2 mainly because of your local niche authority which I have tough you guys but yet inside the post you have a keyword you are no where to be seen which is “Wheeler Army Airfield” Now if I would had made this submission I would had focused on the keyword I have no chance to compete with my website, why use Blogging Zoom to compete with myself I want to use it for keywords I would normally have no shot.

What I will do is make a post at Blogger Unleashed so you can see what I mean and also the results.
