Hey Vic, I made a little variation of the button. Let me know what you think. Not sure how it will look with the numbers on it though. Here is the URL. http://blendworx.com/images/vote-01.png

It doesn’t say “Zoomed” even after you have zoomed an article. Might there be a way to fix that?

As soon as we have the Blogging Zoom platform stable and with all the mods we need to make I will sit down and make one from scratch with cool features.

If for whatever reason it gets to back in the back burner I will get a freelancer to hook it up.

Not a talented techie here. Can you clarify where I install
    on a WP blog?

Have tried it both on “single post” (single.php) that affects every post and also at end of one single post.

Plugin appears to be installed properly from my end.

    Thanks

Anne I promise I will try to make some time tonight and play with the plugin i have not looked at how it will reack placing the call function directly from the single.php

Whoa, dudes!! Somehow I got it installed, but if there could be a smaller or text option that would be great. This looks AWFUL at my place!

    Example is http://tinyurl.com/2y38l6

I realize you have lots going on, and I’m not real picky, but this is bloated! (as am I)

    Thanks,
    AG

Hey I’m enjoying the site so far and have to be the stickler here..any way we can put some sort of link onto Blogspot blogs with Zoom buttons? Just curious, I think it’d be great on both of these platforms as both are used..

  11. Vic on 03.11.2007 at 16:22 (Reply)

    Hi Mcstylin,

    This should work ;)

To make float left or right just enclose in a table

I can never submit any articles. I get to the third step and it tells me “incomplete title or text.” What does that mean?

  13. Vic on 03.11.2007 at 17:05 (Reply)

Fred your submissions has to have a minimum of 350 characters this message you are getting says you do not have that. Ad more text and you should be good.

I clicked the toolbar button to add a blog post I found, BZ launched and it said that this article had already been zoomed. When I clicked on the link to “read now” or something like that (cause I wanted to zoom it), it went to the home page. I never was able to find that article on the site and give it my zoom.

    1. Vic on 13.11.2007 at 02:21 (Reply)

Hi Scott please can you show me the page so I can find out what is wrong.

      Thanks

      Vic

      1. Scott Ficek on 14.11.2007 at 02:51 (Reply)

        Vic-
Here is what I did. I read this article:
        http://www.fatmanunleashed.com.....r-blogging

I clicked on the Blogging Zoom button on the toolbar of my FireFox browser. It launched a new browser window with this address:
        http://bloggingzoom.com/submit.....r-blogging

        This new page said:

        Duplicate article URL: http://www.fatmanunleashed.com.....r-blogging

Please double check the URL and make sure that the article has not been already published

You can zoom and comment on the existing article:

If you click on the “You can zoom and comment on the existing article:”, BZ tries to find the article and then pulls up some random entries that are not at all related to the one it says is a duplicate. I was expecting it to find the article so I could zoom it.

Hope that helps. Shoot me an email if you want screen shots.

Yup the search string sucks. I will have to really sit down and look at how Pligg does this call function. Pligg is an awesome platform but as with all Open Source software it needs tweaking and sometimes serious code change to make it work perfect. I have added this to the todo list and expect a change for the next step up.

    Great stuff…

I think the plugin would be a bit better if you could actually put it into your template and not have to insert it manually into every post.

Just a thought…but so far, so good!

    1. Vic on 13.11.2007 at 02:22 (Reply)

You actually can you place the call function inside the loop where you want to show the button.

  19. Tyler on 14.11.2007 at 18:15 (Reply)

I’d like a none wordpress version of this. My blog script is custom made and if anyone has one pre-made for non-wordpress that be great.

Else I’ll just have to look at the code for the wordpress plugin and do it myself I suppose :)

A generic Javascript code block would be nice.

Any chance of a Movable Type version for those of us who despise Wordpress?

I would love a Blogging Zoom submission button for my blog posts and just spent ages looking around the site for one only to find this post. The sooner widgets can be rolled out for the other popular blogging platforms, the quicker BZ will go viral and huge.
