The Walt Disney Company is going to build a Disney Vacation Club resort on the island of Oahu. Apparently, the company has picked up 21 acres of oceanfront land for the project that will be built in the south-wast corner of Oahu.

Disney and Hawaii seem like a pretty good match, and it will be pretty interesting to see how it works out. When asked why they chose Hawaii for the newest Disney Vacation Club, Disney cited the compatibility between Disney and Hawaii, as well as Hawaii's proximity to Asia.

Disney lately has stated that China is a huge priority for the company. This latest project will get them one step closer. The project will be completed in 2011.
