DVR is a rip-off. Tivo is once again offering a lifetime subscription option on some of their models. What I don't get is why we need to subscribe to anything at all. It's just a hard disk! Find out how to do-it-yourself and save in the long-run! All you need is a computer (doesn't even need to be very powerful), the right software and decent TV tuner card and you're in business.
