Bill Engvall began his career on the sitcom Designing Women. Bill Engvall hit his first big break when he went on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, and from there Bill Engvall won the American Comedy Awards Comic of the Year. Bill Engvall then joined the cast of Delta Burke's Designing Women spin off, which lasted for one year.
