A lot of computer users are currently debating whether or not to upgrade to Windows Vista. I've personally been using Windows XP as my primary operating system since early 2003. I've grown to love XP after the initial learning curve, more of a bump really! I have used Vista, but not for very long. I've found it to be both useful and annoying at the same time.

I appreciate the security benefits of User Account Control, but I prefer that it be turned off. Learn how to disable user account control. I like the slick new graphical user interface, but I don't like the fact that it requires significantly more resources compared with Windows XP. I also find it painful that I have to use extra mouse clicks to make changes to my Local Area Connection settings. Why couldn't Microsoft just leave it the way it was in XP? Another frustration, is when some of my tried-and-tested software refuses to work despite numerous attempts playing with compatibility mode.
