Microsoft and PayPal are loose about it. Yahoo is strict. Amazon doesn’t do it at all. What am I talking about? ’m talking about how these sites use and conform to web standards (namely, the latest doc type declarations — DTD — as specified by the W3C.org). What are Web Standards, and Why are they Important? They just have to do with Web 2.0... the future of the Web, that's all. RSS depends on them. Wireless web applications could not exist without them. And, HTML as you know it... is dead. Or, at least "morphing" into XHTML. How can you learn it? It's not too hard, and we have a transition chart to help you out. It's time to call your DOC and learn why your DT phones home.
