Facebook User-Data Gathering Goes Viral

Many people have been critical of Facebook lately, specifically their attempts to monetize the product.  User data is being collected and used in behavioral targeted marketing.  While to some, this is no big deal, many see severe breaches in privacy that can arise from this practice.  When they opened up their libraries to make it easier for websites to put their applications on them, they also opened up a new avenue through which user data can be gathered.
