In a season filled with what seemed like marathon games, game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals was no exception. The game lasted just over 4 1/2 hours and was just 10 minutes short of two complete games, the Pittsburgh Penguins scored on a power play goal to live to play another day. The goal came at 9:57 of the third overtime period when Peter Sykora slipped the puck past Chris Osgood to win the game.
