Michael Johns: Charlie Wilson's War Was Really America's War

Former White House speechwriter and Heritage Foundation policy analyst Michael Johns helped create and implement Ronald Reagan's policy of support to resistance movements opposing the former Soviet Union's global reach into Africa, Asia, and Central America.  He argues that the new Universal Pictures film Charlie Wilson's War accurately depicts one of the most important stories of the 20th Century: the Cold War didn't "end."  Rather, it was won.  And Afghanistan was ground zero.
