Jesse Helms Dead

Former US Senator Jesse Helms died with a long heritage of controversy. He irritated many with his conservative stance on politics and social issues, but stuck to his guns and was quick to criticize and condemn liberals. He had no praise for Clinton and liberal elites. Even his home state of NC was not a strong supporter of him but gave him 30 years in politics, before poor health and dementia took its toll.
