Too often cats are dumped by the side of the road, left on remote locations or shoved into bags to be drowned by the nearby river. This is a fact for thousands of cats around the world regardless if you live in the suburbs of Iowa (if they have any…) or a 2-room apartment in Germany. It doesn’t matter, cats are put out as if they had no worth, and it’s just so incredibly unnecessary.

Here’s a personal check list you should go through before acquiring a cat (or any other pet for that matter).
If your answer is negative on any of them, try resisting the adoring eyes of a 3 month old kitten and tell yourself you’ll turn into one of those careless people you see on TV who just got arrested for animal cruelty because they lost interest.
