JHSEsq recounts the story of a high school classmate who seemed destined to make music forever, based upon his talent, training, and desire. Instead, she learned many years after graduation that he had given music up entirely, leading her to wonder how anyone could do such a thing. After all, she likens her need to make music to her need for oxygen. She explains why she loves being a lawyer, but could never stop making music.
