Album Review: "American Gangster" by Jay-Z

Jay-Z's "American Gangster" is not a soundtrack for the new Denzel Washington movie. Instead it's a soundtrack for the early days Jay-Z saw as he hustled in the streets of Marcy Projects area. Hise new album was inspired by the movie, and takes the listener on quite the journey backed by 70's soulful beats. The album includes top notch production work and a few guest spots by the likes of Lil' Wayne and Nas. Is American Gangster worth the purchase?
