One of the Oscar nominated songs for 2007 was Falling Slowly, from the indie movie Once, which touched a lot of hearts this past year. It was performed and written by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova. Hansard is the lead singer of his band The Frames and the Oscar committee wasn't sure when the song was actually written or if it was intended for The Frames album or the movie Once. The song was originally recorded for the first time during the filming of Once back in 2006, but it did come out in two different albums later that year. Read more about it at A Mike Life....
