he above trailer is for a movie called “Jumper” that just came to my attention thanks to The Movie Blog today and I had to write a little bit about it. It hits theaters on February 14th, 2008.

“Jumping” out at me about this movie is the awesome special effects you see and the premise of the story. From IMDB, the plot goes something like this:

"A genetic anomaly allows a young man to teleport himself anywhere. He discovers this gift has existed for centuries and finds himself in a war that has been raging for thousands of years between “Jumpers” and those who have sworn to kill them."

The teleport aspect of it sounds pretty “yawn” until you see it in action. Not only can you just teleport anywhere, you can teleport things you are in. For example, the trailer shows a guy in a car bypassing traffic jams by “jumping” past it, the car and himself.
