The HD format war between HD-DVD and Blu-Ray is almost over. Toshiba, to promote the HD-DVD format, paid 2.7 millions for a 30 seconds ad spot during the Super Bowl. The only problem is that the HD-DVD ad was weak for a Super Bowl ad. It looked more like an ordinary ad. Because of that, it only showed it was a fire sale of HD-DVD players.
