Link between IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and Allergies

A recent study found a significantly higher incidence of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) in those who also had allergies or other allergic symptoms (eczema, asthma). When they say “significant,” they mean it: Irritable Bowel Syndrome occurs 2-3 times more often in people with allergies, compared to the general populace. Scary stuff! But there's a silver lining in every cloud...
