In shocking news the Complaints Choir of Singapore was granted a restricted license to perform in the M1 Fringe Festival but they had to do it without 6 of their members who were foreigners but who live and work in Singapore on the basis that because they are not citizens, they were not allowed to sing about subject matter that touched on the Singaporean domestic affairs. But the Complaints Choir of Singapore while singing about complaints that touch the hearts of many Singaporean locals, do it in a light hearted manner and foreigners who live and work in Singapore also face many of the same issues so it was surprising that the Media Authority of Singapore MDA chose to go the neurotic and close-minded route with this decision.
