The Autistic Child's Need to Communicate

This is a very interesting post on exactly what the title says - the communication needs of autistic children. Very basic information, but good and relevant. Many parents and therapists focus on the child needing to communicate verbally, but this post gets across how important it is for them just to be able to communicate and it doesn't have to be verbally. Communication books or boards are great communication tools for autistic kids who are verbally challenged.
