An exploration into Shakespeare's use of imagery to help build character and plot. In this soliloquy from Othello, Shakespeare uses imagery to show Iago's true nature along with the structure and content of the dialogue, punctuation, enjambment, caesura and by Shakespeare's use of irregular metre, which scans for two lines and then stops. By changing the pace of the speech, by gradually increasing in tempo, ending with at a climax.
