Is Proofreading Posts Really Necessary?

When we're typing posts on our blogs, we tend to make simple spelling or grammar mistakes. This is where our English teacher comes into mind. Teachers do stress proofreading and that is what bloggers do, but I disagree with it. As long as the posts are legible, it wouldn't matter if you proofread or not. Proofreading is only needed if you're a huge blogger like Maki or Darren Rowse.
