Courtney Tuttle recently wrote an article discussing Google's attack on blogs that used or even mentioned PayPerPost. Of course, the conversation turned to Google’s practices and if they’re potentially illegal under US and EU anti-monopoly laws. Court and Vic see it as them simply protecting their interest in maintaining an accurate measure for search while others, including myself, see it as an anti-competitive practice designed to use their control of search to increase their control over online advertising. Is Google evil, just protecting their property or doing the wrong thing for the right reasons?
