This post is the first in a case study series by the author of a well-known blog, The Writer's Manifesto, on the author's experiment with an affiliate marketing course. It could be called an "experience" rather than an "experiment" but the author is challenging herself in a number of ways leaving the results truly an unknown.

The challenge described in the first post is a tough spot to be in, and one which is probably familiar to many bloggers. There will be a huge benefit to readers who recognize themselves in her articulate and very candid expose of the doubts and risks involved her making difficult choices. Readers will see what her choices result in and benefit vicariously from her experience.

And there's an additional benefit -- judging by the quality of the first post this series is akin to an older style of journalism before spin plus "CYA" became the news itself. The author has both depth of insight and plain speaking of facts, a delightful and unusual combination that makes for superlative coverage of a topic. I am keen to see how it goes and enjoy the reading as well.
