Problogger leaks out news on how your Adsense earnings will be affected with changes made on the text ads, if this is true then chances of mis-led clicks on the white space of the ads will not exist anymore. No longer will invalid clicks on background ads and those out of the the new clickable zone be able to make money!

This is Google making sure that their advertisers get their money's worth - and it needed to be done.
As an advertiser on Adwords I am glad they are doing this as now I can be assured that those that click on my ad (and cost me money) are interested in my site and not just accidently clicking on my ad.
