If you haven’t configured a Google Sitemap for your blog, then you have no control over what the GoogleBot might pay attention to when it comes to your site, nor how often. This is just something that will work out better for your blog once it’s done.

Download the plug-in here and install and activate it as you would any other WordPress plug-in. After that you’ll need to configure it properly.

Under Options, you’ll have a new entry titled Sitemap - this is where you can change the frequencies, filenames and other options. Once you rebuild the sitemap, you’re done.

After all, wouldn’t YOU want control over how Google sees your site?
